Dandedar Kalakand Recipe: Offer granulated Kalakand in the evening of Vat Savitri

If you have worshiped Vat Savitri and are willing to offer Bhog to Thakur ji in the evening, then definitely try this sweet dish prepared from two or four ingredients.

Milk – two liters
Sugar – kg
Pistachios – 3 tbsp
Cardamom powder – 2 pinch
Milk – one and a half cup
Ghee – 2 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp

How to make Granulated Fondant
Put the milk to boil on low flame. When the milk reduces to half, then add lemon juice to it. When the milk starts to burst, then reduce the flame. Let the cracked milk remain on low flame for 15 minutes and then turn off the gas. Filter the curdled milk with a tea strainer and separate it. Wrap the chenna in a cloth and keep it squeezed. After half an hour, take out the chenna in a big plate and mash it well. Heat milk in a pan and add sugar and cardamom powder to it.

When the milk becomes hot, then add chhena to it and mix it well. Grease a plate or tray with ghee and spread this mixture in it. Add finely chopped pistachios on top. Keep the Kalakand in the fridge for two to two and a half hours to set. After two and a half hours, take out the fondant and cut it into squares with a knife. Granulated Kalakand is ready to serve in the evening.
