If you’re hungry and don’t want to spend a lot of time cooking, try this instant tomato rice. To make it, you need tomato, onion, garlic, ginger and some daily used spices at home. Let us know how Tasty Tomato Rice is prepared.
Rice – 2 bowls
Tomato – cut into 4 thick pieces
Onion – 1 cut into small pieces
Ginger – tbsp (grated)
Garlic – 5-6 cloves finely chopped
Green chili – 2
Turmeric – tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – tsp
Cumin – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 4-5
Refined oil – 2 tbsp
salt – to taste
How to make Tomato Rice
Wash and clean the rice and leave it soaked in water for 10 minutes. Heat oil in a pan and when the oil becomes hot, then add cumin, mustard and curry leaves to it. After a minute, add ginger and garlic and fry on low flame for 1 minute. Now add finely chopped onions to it. Cook the onion on low flame for 5 minutes and add green chili, turmeric, red chili, coriander powder and salt to it.
Now put chopped tomatoes in it and add soaked rice, add water according to the need, cover it and let the rice cook. Keep stirring it occasionally, so that the rice does not burn. When the rice is cooked, then turn off the gas. If you want to do some more experiments in tomato rice, then instead of chopping the tomato, grind it and cook it by adding it to the rice. If you are adding tomatoes after grinding, then keep in mind that while cooking the rice, add less water. Enjoy the taste of hot rice with curd.
